This was by far the hardest day....Lehanas pass is not for sissies. Its one insane climb to the top and then the descent on the other side. When one is planning for the FC you hear about all these hectic things but.........you will never understand until you have done it in person.
Once again thanks to Pierre and Dave for navigating us over that hectic mountains. I did see the blue container thought.......not really sure what its doing there but ja....heard plenty of stories where FC participants had to stay over in the container.
A bit more about our team.......we just hooked up on the first day and decided that our 5 will ride together to Diemersfontein. We all have the same goal, pace and mindset......so why the hell not. Haha. The two experienced leaders are Pierre Singerey and Dave van der Westhuizen. Then we have the newlyweds (Ansa & Sarel Smit) who decided to do this for their honeymoon...........now thats a wawww!!!!!! And they are awesome. And then the legendary Pierre Venter. LOL.
So thats the team jippppi. We even have a name for our team, the RASA SHUFFLERS. Legendary.
Its only being a week and I must admit I miss my two MTB Pioneers a lot, hulle gaan so trots op hulle pa wees. Haha.

Hulle is twee fantastiese mensi inderdaad, ek het n foto van hulle opgesit. ek moes ongelukkig ontrek weens my kniee en kon nie verder deel aan die opwinding nie. Ek sal probeer opdateur soos moonklik.

Sounds like you guys have formed an awesome team together with the honeymooners. There are a lot of Dave and Pierre fans following their progress and yours so keep the blog up. ReplyDeleteDebbie, Dave and Pierre is like my IDOLS and it was a privilege riding with them, unfortunately I withdrawn from the challenge due to my knees. which them all of the best and hope to get a photo of them when they put their blankies on at Diemersfontein. send my regards.
